How to Travel to Coimbatore, India

STEP 1: FLY TO INDIA

Visa Process - We recommend the e-Tourist Visa (eTV)—it’s the fastest and easiest option.

• Where to Apply: Only use the

  Official Government Portal

• When to Apply: Between 120 days and 1 week before your flight.
• Once approved, you will receive an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) via email. Print a physical copy to show at the airport and at immigration upon arrival.

There are direct international flights to Coimbatore (CJB). Incase there are no direct flights book your international flight to one of the following major airports in India:

• Chennai International Airport (MAA)
• Bengaluru International Airport (BLR)
• Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD)
• Cochin International Airport (COK)

STEP 2: TRAVEL TO COIMBATORE (CJB)

From Chennai, Hyderabad or Bengaluru, you can reach Coimbatore by:

• Domestic Flight (Recommended) - Approx 1 hour
• Train: approx. 5-6 hours
• Private car: approx. 6-7 hours

Nearest Airport to the Wedding: Coimbatore International Airport (CJB).

STEP 3: TRAVEL TO RESORT

• Pollachi is about 1-1.5 hours from Coimbatore.
• Travel to Coco Lagoon from Coimbatore Airport - Recommend taking a pre-paid taxi (RedTaxi), You can find the kiosk located in front of the arrival terminal.
• Train Station - Recommend taking a pre-paid taxi (RedTaxi), kiosk available near the station engine display area, specifically near the west entrance/rear exit of the station.
• Uber also works in Coimbatore, but you might find difficulty in finding a ride to Pollachi.
• Average cost is around 1000-1500 INR.
• Once you arrive at the resort, all transportation between venues will be managed by us, until the morning of the 26th.

DO'S & DON'TS

DO:

• Dress comfortably and modestly for traditional ceremonies (24th Evening & 25th Morning). Our families have a lot of old-fashioned folks.
• Pro Tip: Think of what would be acceptable at the Vatican but more colorful and Indian.
• It's right around the monsoons. Expect warm, humid weather and little rain. Ensure you have your vaccinations, insect repellent, and maybe an umbrella on hand.

• Be ready to dance, sing, and generally bring the bestest vibes.

PLEASE AVOID:

• Don't wear all white/ all black (especially you Berlin peeps) outfits to the main ceremony on the 25th Morning.
• Sticking with only people you know. It's our joy that we have so many friends from all over the world, we want all of you to have fun together with us.
